Undetected drainage issues can cause severe problems, including blockages, backups, and environmental pollution. Broken drains may release pollutants into soil and groundwater, making timely identification and repair crucial.
CCTV Drain Surveys
We specialise in identifying and repairing drainage issues before they cause serious environmental or operational problems. While some drainage issues such as blockages and backups are immediately noticeable, many more serious problems - such as cracks, breakages, and collapses - can go undetected for years, potentially allowing pollutants to escape into the surrounding soil and groundwater.
Our CCTV drain surveys are designed to accurately assess the condition of your drainage network, pinpoint any faults, and recommend the most appropriate and cost-effective repair solutions.
Using state-of-the-art, remotely controlled cameras, we inspect the inside of your drains and relay live footage to an operator above ground. This enables precise identification of structural issues and potential obstructions.
Where silt build-up is suspected, we recommend conducting drain jetting alongside the CCTV survey to flush out debris, ensuring the camera can pass through the drainage network freely and deliver a complete inspection.
Our CCTV drain surveys help identify a range of problems, including:
Following the survey, you will receive a comprehensive report, complete with high-quality video evidence and a detailed list of any defects discovered.
For full-site drainage surveys, we also provide a colour-coded CAD (Computer Aided Design) drainage plan of the system layout.
Where traditional connectivity methods have failed, our CCTV surveys can be combined with drain tracing and mapping services to confirm drain connections and flow directions.
Drain Repairs
Based on the survey findings, we offer tailored repair solutions, including:
Drain Collapses & Replacements
Drains can collapse for a wide variety of reasons. There may be too much pressure/weight above them; there may be subsidence or uplift; or the drains may be damaged by chemicals attacking and weakening them. Collapsed drains often require excavation and replacement of the affected pipe sections. This process can be complex and costly, especially if reinstatement of surfaces like tarmac is necessary.
While we are fully equipped to handle drainage excavations and reinstatement, we always explore no-dig (trenchless) repair options first to minimise disruption and cost where possible.
No-dig technology involves installing a liner that expands and cures in place, effectively creating a slightly smaller pipe within the existing one. Where connections are blocked, a robotic cutter reopens them, allowing for efficient drain repair with minimal cost and disruption.
Drain Blockages and Jetting
For clearing blockages caused by debris, silt, grease, fat build-up, or damaged pipes, we use high-powered drain jetting equipment Our jetting systems can:
Root Cutting & Lining
Tree and plant roots are a common cause of drain damage, often leading to blockages and more serious issues if left untreated. Specialist root-cutting equipment can be used to remove the obstruction, but the entry point remains vulnerable. To prevent future root intrusion, we recommend lining the drain after root cutting.
